Projects Details

Queensland Curtis LNG Project will be the first project to turn gas from coal seams into liquefied natural gas.

PDC’s scope included design of Type L (horizontal) and Type M (vertical) piping skids for wellhead works within the QCLNG project.

Design included full 3D modelling, full stress analysis using CAESAR analysis package, structural analysis, lifting studies, production of piping isometrics and detailed shop design drawings.

Approximately 450 skids were fabricated in China and designed focus was to eliminate repeated items where possible.

Projects Challenges/Highlights

This project is a high profile as it is the world’s first to turn gas from coal seams into LNG and is one of Australia’s largest capital infrastructure projects to date.
